Accounts Payable Specialist (Finance)

Location: Milan, hybrid, with weekly travel to the company location in Emilia-Romagna

Gross annual salary: €35,000–€45,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, internal-policy compliance, and tax compliance.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end accounts payable closing activities.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and other internal departments.
• Provide payables documentation and explanations for audits.
• Improve AP processes and ERP functionality, including purchase order administration.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance with honors.
• 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Knowledge of Italian and international accounting principles and VAT regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.
