Financial Reporting & Equity Administration Senior Accountant

Location: College Park, Maryland, United States office, with the option to work a few days a week remotely

Salary: $84,455–$110,132 base salary annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Prepare schedules, analytical reviews, workpapers, and reconciliations supporting financial statement disclosures, quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
• Prepare quarterly equity rollforwards and earnings-per-share calculations.
• Coordinate with Legal, People, Payroll, subsidiaries, and acquired companies to collect, interpret, process, and reconcile equity and compensation data.
• Process bi-weekly equity grants and quarterly equity releases in the equity platform, while guiding employees through related procedures.
• Support year-end tax reporting by preparing and reconciling compensation and tax data.
• Improve accounting and equity administration processes, identify automation opportunities, and support new systems and technology implementations.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or public accounting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• High competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• For U.S. export-control and government-contract work, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee, unless the required authorization or license exception is confirmed.

Nice to have

• SEC reporting, E*Trade, Workday, Dayforce, and/or Papaya experience.
• Experience at a Big Four or other national accounting firm.
• Experience handling confidential compensation data and knowledge of equity compensation data requirements and cycles.
• Ability to develop new skills quickly and solve problems constructively.
