Computational Biologist (AI)

What you will do

• Contribute to the company-wide research and development roadmap.
• Identify large-scale biological datasets and build workflows and infrastructure for processing them.
• Design and apply evaluation frameworks for biological security models and real-world use cases.
• Plan computational biology experiments and design wet-lab experiments to assess precision biologics.
• Collaborate with AI and software engineers to train models and deploy tested data-analysis tools.
• Communicate findings internally and externally while working with customers and research collaborators.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing biological datasets, especially genomic, protein, or metagenomic sequence data.
• High proficiency in Python and its scientific package ecosystem.
• Experience with bioinformatics sequence-analysis tools, biological databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate computational biology methods and machine-learning models.
• Experience collaborating with experimental biologists to plan and interpret wet-lab experiments.
• Experience with ML-centric bioinformatics and structure-based tools such as AlphaFold, plus contributions to open-source projects.
