TL;DR
Manufacturing Technician (Power Electronics): Assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and finished power products with an accent on wire harnesses, mechanical fitment, quality control, and end-of-line testing. Focus on interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, maintaining production traceability, and solving manufacturability and process issues for high-reliability power systems.

Location: Onsite in San Bruno, California, United States, five days per week; extended and weekend hours may be required.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 annually, plus early-stage equity and company-sponsored benefits.

What you will do

  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and finished power products.
  • Build wire harnesses, perform mechanical fitment and basic fabrication using hand tools, and take electrical measurements.
  • Test finished products and electronic sub-assemblies for functionality, quality, and defects.
  • Maintain complete production traceability in the MES and support inventory management.
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve process efficiency and product manufacturability.

Requirements

  • At least two years of professional manufacturing experience assembling complex electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, PCBA hand soldering or repair, wiring and harness assembly, or electronic sub-assembly testing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort using basic computer software.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in San Bruno, California, five days per week.
  • Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States within the first three days of employment. Must be able to work on foot for a full shift, perform repetitive precision tasks, follow safety protocols, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Formal electronics or engineering certification, apprenticeship, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with high-voltage energy storage, power distribution, or high-reliability embedded power electronics.
  • Familiarity with industry and government quality and compliance standards.
