Senior Applied ML Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or commutable to San Francisco or New York (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office)

Salary: $210,000 – $250,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Deliver production ML models for fraud, trust & safety, KYB, and compliance domains.
• Tackle complex classification problems involving extreme class imbalance and sparse signals.
• Innovate in feature engineering using graph-based techniques, weak supervision, and LLMs.
• Partner with the ML infra team to design feature services, training pipelines, and serving standards.
• Implement knowledge graph solutions to enhance entity resolution and business identity verification.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production ML experience in risk, fraud, credit, or trust & safety.
• Hands-on experience building or querying knowledge graphs over business entity networks.
• Expertise in entity resolution for noisy, incomplete, or conflicting data sources.
• Strong background in classification challenges like imbalanced labels and cold start problems.
• Experience with ML infrastructure including feature stores and model management pipelines.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model with 2 days per week in the SF or NYC office.

Nice to have

• B2B SaaS experience building ML products for enterprise customers.
• Experience building end-to-end training harnesses for automated feature engineering.
• Experience scaling ML across multiple products or risk domains.
