Quantitative Researcher (AI/Fintech)

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (On-site, 5x a week)

Salary: $200,000 – $400,000

What you will do

• Develop machine learning models to estimate relative value and future outperformance in fixed income securities.
• Run large-scale variable portfolio optimizations and build risk models to estimate tracking error.
• Build AI agents to automate credit research, custom portfolio construction, and core management tasks.
• Act as your own product manager to define and execute research initiatives.
• Write production-grade code in Python to deploy research into live systems.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in New York, NY, 5 days per week.
• Experience as a quantitative researcher or trader, or strong background in related analytical fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.
• Proven ability to write production-grade Python code.
• Eagerness to work closely with customers and own the product outcome.

Nice to have

• Fixed income quantitative research experience.
• Numerical optimization and factor/risk models experience.
• Experience with Polars and machine learning pipelines.
• Experience with multi-modal LLMs.
