What you will do
- Plan, develop, and execute manual and automated test campaigns for liquid chromatography, chromatography data systems, and related laboratory applications.
- Design and maintain functional, system, integration, workflow, regression, and performance tests, including test data, environments, and instrument configurations.
- Define requirements, customer workflows, acceptance criteria, and test strategies with software engineering, product, and application teams.
- Analyze test results and defects, investigate root causes, verify fixes, and drive issues through resolution.
- Maintain traceability across requirements, risks, test cases, results, and defects, and prepare product lifecycle documentation.
- Use approved AI tools and automation frameworks while validating AI-enabled features for quality, compliance, and validation requirements.
Requirements
- University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with software testing and development processes, including manual test design, execution, defect management, requirements-based verification, and Agile practices.
- Knowledge of liquid chromatography, chromatography data systems, laboratory workflows, or complex software-hardware systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on application testing, usability, and product quality.
- Fluent English and German communication skills are required.
- Ability to effectively use and critically evaluate AI-assisted productivity, development, or testing tools.
Nice to have
- Experience in life sciences, regulated, or quality-managed environments.
- Hands-on experience with test automation and quality tools such as Jenkins, Reqnroll, Selenium, Playwright, nUnit, MS Test, Jira, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with LC/LC-MS instrumentation, OpenLab CDS, API testing, AI-enabled development workflows, or validation of AI-enabled software features.
