QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the US, with availability aligned to Pacific Time working hours; EST overlap is also mentioned.

What you will do

• Build test plans and validate features from requirements through production release.
• Test integrations, REST APIs, authentication, permissions, webhooks, retries, pagination, rate limits, error handling, and third-party dependencies.
• Validate end-to-end customer workflows across dashboards, SDKs, APIs, connectors, and AI-agent workflows.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and unexpected interactions.
• Maintain regression coverage, automate meaningful API, integration, and UI tests, and manage CI/CD quality gates.
• Investigate production issues, document defects with clear evidence, verify fixes, and partner with engineering and product teams on release decisions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience testing modern web applications, APIs, or developer products.
• Experience with functional, integration, API, end-to-end, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Strong debugging skills, including browser developer tools, logs, API payloads, network traces, and production signals.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write or maintain automated tests using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
• Consistent availability and responsiveness during Pacific Time working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience testing developer tools, SDKs, workflow automation products, or integration platforms.
• Familiarity with OAuth, API keys, AI agents, LLM evaluation, MCP, or tool-calling systems.
• Experience testing across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Experience establishing QA practices or improving quality processes at an early-stage company.
