Senior EMC Engineer, Commercial Desktop

What you will do

• Lead EMC architecture reviews, schematic evaluations, PCB layout reviews, and EMC design requirement definition for desktop platforms.
• Assess and mitigate EMC risks involving high-speed interfaces, power delivery, grounding, shielding, filtering, and cable designs.
• Plan and support pre-compliance testing, product validation, certification activities, and regulatory submissions.
• Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for emissions, immunity, ESD, EFT, surge, and related compliance issues.
• Coordinate with EE, SI/PI, Mechanical, Thermal, BIOS, ODM, supplier, and certification teams throughout product development.
• Provide technical leadership across desktop programs, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement of EMC methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of EMC engineering experience supporting desktop, workstation, gaming desktop, or PC platforms.
• Strong knowledge of EMC regulations, high-speed digital design, PCB layout, grounding, shielding, and filtering techniques.
• Experience leading EMC compliance testing, certification, validation, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language.
• Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Intel and AMD desktop platforms, PCIe, DDR, USB4, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, HDMI, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with major PC OEM platforms or leading ODMs such as Foxconn, Inventec, Quanta, Compal, Wistron, and Pegatron.
• Experience supporting global product certification and regulatory approvals.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
