Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Seattle, hybrid; the role includes on-site work and periodic on-call rotations.

Annual pay range: USD $120,000–$150,000.

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain network devices, storage appliances, servers, virtual machines, containers, SaaS services, and cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Administer Active Directory, Windows and Linux application and database servers, monitoring, alerting, logging, and configuration management.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and IT tasks using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Plan and run backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Define and communicate SLAs, maintain documentation, and conduct hardware and software audits.
• Serve as a technical lead for complex infrastructure problems and improve IT standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years administering and automating Linux, Windows, and macOS environments, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with SAN, NAS, NFS, SMB, and iSCSI storage technologies.
• Strong background in complex virtualization and container environments.
• Experience managing users and deploying services across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Working fluency with Python, Bash, and Ansible, plus clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize work independently, handle sensitive systems, participate in on-call rotations, and lift or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
