Founding Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; remote work may be considered within the US for exceptional candidates

hirify.global was founded by the creators and core maintainers of vLLM to make AI inference cheaper and faster.

What you will do

• Establish hirify.global and vLLM's visual language across model launches, technical content, ecosystem news, and partner announcements.
• Design initial UI/UX for production tooling and developer dashboards.
• Shape the company's website, interactive developer pages, internal tooling, and enterprise product interfaces.
• Optimize developer workflows and create intuitive experiences for complex AI infrastructure products.
• Build scalable design systems spanning brand assets, product components, open-source communities, developer tools, and enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate directly with founders, engineering leads, product managers, and marketing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Product Design, HCI, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft, typography, layout, visual systems, and interactive UI/UX thinking.
• AI-native working style with the ability to use modern AI image, design, and code-generation tools to explore concepts and ship production-ready assets.
• Technical fluency and experience designing for developers, technical products, or complex systems.
• Ability to independently turn rough ideas or technical content into polished visuals, landing pages, and product mockups.
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco or remotely from the US if selected as an exceptional candidate.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer tools, AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, open-source communities, or technical SaaS products.
• Background in visual design, brand systems, illustration, graphic assets, and digital product design.
• Proficiency with Figma, Framer, Webflow, React, and Tailwind prototypes.
• Experience creating conference graphics, community-event collateral, or launch campaigns.
• Motion design or lightweight 3D experience with After Effects, Rive, Lottie, Blender, Cinema 4D, or Spline.
