TL;DR
Director of Global Payroll & Mobility (Global Payroll and Mobility): Leading global payroll operations, time and attendance administration, immigration, mobility, and relocation programs across multiple countries with an accent on compliance, governance, and employee experience. Focus on managing payroll controls and audits, coordinating cross-border tax and work-permit requirements, and developing high-performing payroll and mobility teams.

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; on-site at the assigned location, with approval for remote work up to 2 days per week.

Salary: $187,000–$243,000 annually, including the bonus target.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end global payroll operations across countries and legal entities, including vendor management, processing accuracy, accounting coordination, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
  • Own global time and attendance processes, payroll integrations, exception reporting, controls, audits, and data-quality improvements.
  • Oversee global mobility, immigration, international assignments, transfers, visas, work permits, and related payroll, tax, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage global relocation programs, vendors, benefits administration, cost controls, and employee support services.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Finance, and Legal on equity administration, payroll treatment, taxation, employee education, and inquiries.
  • Lead the payroll and mobility team, establish KPIs and SLAs, manage operational risk, and support workforce planning and growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including 5 or more years managing global payroll operations and teams.
  • Experience supporting multi-country payroll environments and maintaining compliance with payroll, employment tax, labor, and audit requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxation, compliance, audit controls, and process improvement is required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with ADP, Celergo, Workday, or other global payroll platforms.
  • Experience with equity administration, mobility, immigration, or expatriate administration.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology or public-company environment.
