Assembly & Prototyping Technician (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands, five days a week. Applicants must already be based in the Netherlands, eligible to work there, and able to commute to Amsterdam. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not supported.

hirify.global develops robotics and software to automate on-site construction, building hardware and software in-house.

What you will do

• Fabricate and assemble production hardware, prototypes, end effectors, autonomous ground vehicles, supply systems, and robotic cranes.
• Maintain the existing fleet of construction robots through health checks and repairs.
• Operate construction robots, build testing rigs, and occasionally support robots on construction sites.
• Plan and organize builds, provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly feedback, and improve designs for small-series production.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized machine shop environment.

Requirements

• Experience assembling parts and sequencing builds with limited instructions or documentation.
• Comfort working with metals and metal tools, including an angle grinder; complex machining experience is not required.
• Ability to determine and perform assembly checks with engineering support.
• High attention to detail, including quality spot checks and identifying mistakes.
• Ability to follow relevant procedures, including bolt selection and tightening torques.
• Ability to read bills of materials, organize parts and collect off-the-shelf components, and communicate effectively with engineers.
