Facilities Manager

Location: San Mateo, United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 base

What you will do

• Lead space planning and site strategy for office openings, expansions, and consolidations.
• Manage and mentor regional office managers and establish consistent workplace standards.
• Develop scalable facilities playbooks, vendor standards, and safety protocols.
• Lead office buildouts, relocations, and new-market entries from planning through delivery.
• Manage facilities budgets, operational costs, lease negotiations, and vendor contracts.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and executive leadership on workplace programs and compliance.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in facilities or workplace strategy.
• Proven experience managing a multi-site office portfolio.
• Experience building and scaling workplace strategy in a growing technology company.
• Strong project management experience with complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Experience managing, coaching, and developing office managers or similar direct reports.
• Experience negotiating portfolio-level leases, vendor contracts, and master service agreements.

Nice to have

• Global or international office operations experience, including regional compliance and logistical considerations.
• Experience designing and executing campus events and workplace activities.
• Ability to translate high-level business and geographic strategy into concrete facilities plans.
