Senior Principal RFIC Design Engineer (RFIC)

Location: San Jose, California or Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $170,600–$227,400 per year

What you will do

• Design high-performance RF and analog circuit blocks for ASIC development.
• Define transistor-, block-, and module-level circuit architectures and perform circuit simulation, optimization, and modeling.
• Supervise layout, verify layouts, and handle floor planning, block-level routing, and top-level chip routing.
• Prepare test plans and support bench evaluation at both silicon and application levels.
• Correlate simulation results with bench and test data while assessing reliability and yield.
• Document designs and collaborate with cross-functional and distributed design teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on RF and analog integrated circuit design and development experience.
• Experience with CMOS circuit design in areas such as amplifiers, mixers, converters, high-speed drivers and receivers, CDR circuits, equalizers, or power amplifiers.
• Experience with 40nm and below CMOS technologies and a track record of successful design releases and mass production.
• Thorough knowledge of industry-standard EDA tools, including Cadence, Mentor, Siemens, or Ansys.
• Experience with RF and high-performance analog layout, matching, EM-IR, SOA, and mitigation techniques.
• BS, MS, or PhD with relevant experience, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
