Software Production Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own production reliability for the APAC region by monitoring systems, triaging alerts, and coordinating incident response.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems and integrations with PSPs, acquirers, and local payment rails.
• Support onboarding, go-live, stabilization, and production readiness for new payment integrations and APAC market expansions.
• Implement critical hotfixes, conduct root cause analyses, and reduce recurring incidents and systemic production risks.
• Improve observability through dashboards, alerts, log analysis, tracing, and runbooks using Datadog and OpenSearch.
• Help establish incident response playbooks, on-call processes, deployment standards, and operational practices for the Singapore Engineering Hub.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in production engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering with ownership of production services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems in high-availability and high-throughput environments.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, log analysis, tracing, and operational excellence practices.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and CI/CD-driven environments.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams in Brazil across time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services infrastructure, including PSPs, acquirers, or local payment rails.
• Experience using Claude or Devin for operational code, anomaly detection, runbook generation, or intelligent alert correlation.
• Programming experience in Java, Elixir, or PHP for automation and operational tooling.
