Associate Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Santa Barbara, California, United States

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 base salary per year, plus a 5% company performance bonus and potential RSU grant.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain clean, maintainable Java code for the platform, independently and through pair programming.
• Build unit, functional, and integration tests to improve software quality and reliability.
• Support QA testing in staging environments and fix broken builds.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers in an Agile/Scrum squad.
• Perform triage, verify bug reports, and implement platform fixes.
• Build expertise in squad technologies and help onboard new team members.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Spring Framework.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• At least 1 year of professional experience with Java and MySQL.
• Experience with a JavaScript framework such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Experience building on GCP, Azure, or AWS cloud platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
