TL;DR
Data Analyst (Aerospace): Analyzing design, test, and flight data for air-launched hypersonic vehicles with an accent on data cleaning, modeling, visualization, and test and evaluation planning. Focus on architecting data review methodologies, supporting flight-test execution, and translating operational analysis into requirements for hot-structure airframes.

Location: Based in Mojave, California; hybrid work may be considered for well-qualified candidates, and remote work outside California may be considered for exceptional candidates. Travel is expected as needed and estimated at less than 5%.

Base salary: $83,000–$120,500 for Level I; $101,079–$146,500 for Level II.

What you will do

  • Develop analytical approaches for collecting, aggregating, and analyzing design and test data.
  • Support efficient test and evaluation plans for air-launched hypersonic vehicles.
  • Participate in design reviews, readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test data reviews.
  • Architect and optimize data review and analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program management, and customers.
  • Maintain honesty, responsibility, and integrity in fulfilling commitments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of data cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization techniques.
  • Ability to use programming languages to facilitate data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level or higher security clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Level I requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience; Level II requires a bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of engineering experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace engineering development or modification programs.
  • Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes.
  • Active security clearance.
  • Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, or Linux; CAD experience with NX; and familiarity with Jira, Git, Jama, Cameo, or DOORS.
