Staff Software Engineer, Multi-Robot Coordination (Robotics)

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop production-grade software for robot coordination, multi-robot simulations, system-state management, and operational workflows.
• Build and maintain integrations with robot platforms, warehouse management systems, APIs, services, and data systems.
• Improve system reliability and scalability through testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning.
• Investigate warehouse field issues, identify root causes, and drive fleet software, integration, and robot software changes.
• Collaborate with robotics, ML, multi-robot coordination, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of production-level software development experience in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience or knowledge of distributed systems, backend services, API design, CI/CD, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use analysis to influence high-stakes operational and engineering changes.
