Systems Resilience Engineer

Annual pay range: USD $140,000–$210,000

What you will do

• Design and operationalize testing for new features, including customer-use scenarios, scale testing, and failure discovery.
• Automate manual testing with Python and internal frameworks running on Jenkins and Argo.
• Build data-driven test plans, scheduling, rerun, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
• Troubleshoot build and test failures across virtual machines and hirify.global-qualified hardware.
• Analyze cluster output and C error logs to distinguish infrastructure issues, test problems, and product defects.
• Help define release quality standards and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating automated testing, validation, or certification for complex software systems.
• Strong programming ability in C, with working fluency in Linux and Python.
• Hands-on experience with both on-premises infrastructure and AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to build tests independently and use data to determine test coverage and frequency.
• Hybrid work in Seattle, United States is required for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global's distributed file system or parallel filesystems.
• Knowledge of networking, including routing, firewalls, security inspection devices, and switch configuration.
• Storage experience with IOPS, latency, and read/write patterns.
• Protocol experience with NFS, SMB, or S3.
