Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Location: New York, NY; hybrid workplace. Travel to client sites may be required for up to 25% of the time.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential equity, sign-on bonus, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own Gen AI strategy and implementation for customer organizations.
• Build, deploy, and operate end-to-end LLM workflows and production AI solutions at scale.
• Work directly with customers to understand business needs and define AI strategies.
• Deliver high-stakes projects in small, cross-functional teams.
• Feed practical learnings from customer deployments back into the hirify.global AIP product suite.

Requirements

• Experience building solutions with LLMs and a deep understanding of the Gen AI landscape.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, including evaluation, training, and problem decomposition.
• Strong engineering background; relevant fields include computer science, mathematics, software engineering, physics, and machine learning.
• Demonstrated programming proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
