Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: United States; domestic travel to portfolio locations up to 75% of the time, including extended periods embedded at specific sites.

Salary: $120,223–$180,334 per year, plus potential annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Collaborate with site teams to understand business processes, identify challenges, and uncover opportunities for digital solutions.
• Own prototypes and production solutions across discovery, prioritization, development, deployment, and post-launch iteration.
• Build full-stack solutions and prototypes using software engineering, AI, machine learning, APIs, and systems integration.
• Lead customer workshops, technical implementation, mentorship, issue resolution, code reviews, and adoption support.
• Develop scalable and reliable software architectures, technical documentation, implementation playbooks, and reusable assets.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols, data management standards, and AI governance requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, solution platform delivery, or technical implementation, preferably in customer-facing environments.
• Programming experience with Python or a similar language, with strong knowledge of APIs and systems integration.
• Experience with LLMs, generative AI pipelines, agent workflows, tool orchestration, or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Experience leading complex enterprise deployments involving cloud infrastructure, identity/SSO, data access, and enterprise-system integrations.
• Strong communication, ownership, autonomy, and ability to work through ambiguity with technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or person granted asylum in the United States due to export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing, quality, engineering services, supply chain operations, regulated industries, or governance-heavy environments.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Atlassian tools, and common enterprise integration approaches.
• Consulting, technical solution engineering, internal tools engineering, or enterprise delivery leadership experience.
• Experience turning custom implementations into reusable product capabilities and leading multi-workstream programs.
• Education in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, physics, or machine learning.
