Process Engineer (Metal, Stamping & Assembly)

What you will do

• Evaluate new product requests, prepare RFQ data, assess production capacity, and provide process DFM recommendations.
• Support new product development, including tool and fixture design, equipment development and debugging, and outsourced processes.
• Lead sample production and trial runs, and maintain flowcharts, PFMEA, SOPs, work instructions, and other engineering documents.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and process data, define improvement actions, verify results, and manage ECN implementation.
• Train operators, monitor production processes, and provide technical support for process and quality issues.
• Analyze root causes and resolve production and customer complaints in cooperation with QE, including cross-site technical support and technology sharing.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in metal, stamping, and assembly-related work, with experience in product process development and improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree or above; mechanical, manufacturing, or automation-related majors are preferred.
• Professional knowledge of metal, stamping, and assembly products, including process feasibility assessment, verification, and process design.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Six Sigma, VSM, Lean, APQP, and quality tools; familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Proficiency with office software, AutoCAD, and Pro/ENGINEER or Creo.
• English CET-4 or above is required for reading and writing; spoken English is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with cleaning, plasma processing, riveting, tumbling, welding, laminating, or die-cutting.
• Automotive product experience.
• Strong experience with PFMEA and Six Sigma.
