ASIC Test Technician

Location: On-site in Menlo Park, California, United States; day or swing shift flexibility is required.

Annual salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain manual and semi-automatic probe stations for wafer-level and singulated-die measurements.
• Support engineers with ASIC testing, characterization, pre-production volume testing, and design-of-experiment measurements.
• Execute automated test sequences, test suites, and regular equipment calibrations.
• Operate test equipment and collect data across frequencies from DC to 1 THz.
• Inspect wafers and devices for surface defects using microscopes or automated inspection tools.
• Identify testing anomalies, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and maintain probe stations, including probe card replacement and equipment cleaning.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or equivalent training.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating wafer probe stations.
• Experience with GSSG and GSG RF probes using coaxial and waveguide feeds.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing specialized protective clothing.
• High precision when following complex technical procedures and performing electrical wafer-level testing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience executing SOLT, TRL, and on-wafer calibration techniques.
