What you will do

• Design advanced analog and mixed-signal circuits for optical modules, including ADCs, DACs, transimpedance amplifiers, laser drivers, receivers, and high-speed linear and nonlinear circuits.
• Run SPICE and Spectre simulations to verify performance, robustness, and corner-case behavior.
• Supervise layout, parasitic extraction, design integrity, and manufacturability in collaboration with layout engineers.
• Develop test plans and participate in silicon validation, laboratory debug, and characterization.
• Collaborate with digital, firmware, systems, and test engineering teams to define specifications and troubleshoot issues.
• Resolve complex design, performance, and yield problems while documenting specifications, results, and procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 5+ years of relevant experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design.
• Proven experience designing, taping out, and bringing complex analog ICs into production using advanced CMOS processes.
• Expertise in high-speed analog building blocks, including op-amps, bandgaps, LDOs, voltage references, drivers, and receivers.
• Proficiency with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Mentor Graphics Calibre, or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, analog layout, design for manufacturability, and silicon characterization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical communication applications such as coherent transceivers and pluggable optics.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and parameter analyzers.
