Data Scientist, Professional Senior (AI)

Location: USA - Lincolnshire, Illinois

Salary: $108,960–$163,440 annual, plus a target annual cash incentive of 12% of base pay.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement regression, classification, clustering, statistical, deep learning, and AI models.
• Build and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions using structured, unstructured, and machine-acquired data.
• Apply feature engineering, data engineering, predictive modelling, and time series forecasting to identify actionable business and product insights.
• Develop tools for large-scale data analysis, visualization, and communication of findings to product, service, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with experimentalists and cross-functional teams to translate models into testable hypotheses and improve data collection mechanisms.
• Mentor less experienced data scientists and contribute to innovation initiatives, publications, and patent disclosures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with strong foundations in statistics, machine learning, deep learning, programming, and time series forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, especially Azure Databricks, plus PySpark and Databricks SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Experience building and deploying end-to-end ML solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and automated deployment frameworks such as Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and experience solving large-scale real-world industry problems.
• Knowledge of R, Python, Java, TensorFlow, NLP with NLTK, Apache Spark, NoSQL databases, and common machine learning methods and packages.
• Retail industry experience.
• Understanding of data structures, software design, and architecture.
