Data Scientist (Federal)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States. The role requires US citizenship and authorization to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Salary: $136,000–$183,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Research, design, implement, and deploy machine learning algorithms, intelligent agents, and optimization solutions for enterprise applications.
• Help federal customers build applications on the hirify.global Suite.
• Define analytics capabilities that support customer decision-making and digital transformation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, subject matter experts, stakeholders, executives, and customers.
• Contribute to new hirify.global Suite features and improve large machine learning codebases.

Requirements

• US citizenship and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, statistics, operations research, or an equivalent field.
• Applied machine learning experience with regression, classification, supervised learning, and unsupervised learning.
• Strong foundations in statistics, linear algebra, calculus, probability, and optimization.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts, present insights to stakeholders, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI or full-scope polygraph.
• Experience with deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or large language models, including RAG and agentic systems.
• Knowledge of constrained, stochastic, convex, and non-convex optimization.
• Experience with modern IDEs and AI agent tools.
