Instrument & Calibration Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Frederick, Colorado, United States; onsite manufacturing and utility areas

Salary: $34.00–$53.13 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead calibration of instruments installed as part of a 200,000+ square foot GMP brownfield expansion.
• Perform calibration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for laboratory, process, and utility instrumentation.
• Work with conductivity, pH, total organic carbon, temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, level, and weight instruments.
• Document calibration activities in Blue Mountain RAM and coordinate external calibration service providers.
• Support qualification activities, engineering projects, manufacturing troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and an emergency on-call rotation as operations expand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, biochemistry, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience in calibration and instrumentation.
• Understanding of industrial instrumentation and control systems, P&IDs, control theory, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, web-based applications, and computerized maintenance systems.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Availability for occasional off-hours, weekend, fixed off-shift, or on-call support as production scales.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of relay ladder logic, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience with HART Communications, PACTWare, iFix SCADA, Ignition, or Siemens systems.
