Director & Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Irvine Office, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $206,600–$275,400 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial sales and customer agreements, including master purchasing, distribution, nondisclosure, and statements-of-work agreements.
• Advise worldwide sales and marketing stakeholders on transaction risks, mitigation strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Support customer RFP and RFQ responses in collaboration with sales, finance, and operations.
• Develop and maintain legal playbooks, standard templates, and contract lifecycle management workflows.
• Drive technology and process improvements across the global commercial legal function.
• Guide contract administrators, managers, and less experienced counsel while contributing to special legal and business initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant transactional legal experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and sales agreements.
• Current membership in good standing of a U.S. State Bar, or California Registered In-House Counsel status or eligibility.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of U.S. consumer protection, competition, and intellectual property laws.
• Professional fluency in English, written and verbal, is required.
• Strong business judgment, independent decision-making, communication, collaboration, leadership, and attention to detail.
