Senior Software Engineer (Fintech): Building and evolving a high-availability payments platform handling millions of global transactions, with an accent on distributed systems, concurrency, persistence, and scalable software design. What you will do
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and monitor software solutions in production.
- Write incremental, well-documented code and perform thorough code reviews.
- Make architectural decisions and help teammates solve complex engineering problems.
- Develop internal tools and improve the efficiency and reliability of engineering work.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Risk, and Business Development on strategic projects.
- Evolve the payments platform, targeting more than 99.9% availability and throughput above 100 TPS.
Requirements
- Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production.
- Strong understanding of data structures, concurrency, persistence, and distributed systems.
- Expertise with Git or another collaborative version-control system.
- Ability to reason about software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstractions.
- Ability to learn new technologies, programming languages, practices, and engineering cultures.
- Ability to work on-site in Curitiba, Brazil.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS cloud deployment and monitoring, infrastructure automation, or service provisioning.
- Knowledge of computer networks, latency, packet loss, routing optimization, and monitoring.
- Full knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with test-driven development and extensive test coverage.
- Experience with functional or logic programming, asynchronous systems, data replication, and reconciliation.
- English communication skills for customer support and technical specifications.
