Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead team performance and product delivery in collaboration with product management and product design.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, career development, and regular performance feedback.
• Optimise team velocity by prioritising workloads, removing roadblocks, and protecting the team from disruption.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog with the Product Manager.
• Support recruitment, evaluation, and hiring of new team members.
• Provide technical oversight on scalability, performance, security, compliance, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a People Manager or Lead.
• Experience working in an agile software development environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience balancing speed to market with long-term engineering decisions.
• Practical experience with AI development and delivery in real-world software solutions.
