Technical Sourcer, Engineering (Contract)

Hourly rate: $40–50/hour. An annual base pay range of $76,800–$96,000 USD is also listed.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end sourcing pipelines for backend, full-stack, infrastructure, and other software engineering roles.
• Use LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Juicebox, Boolean search, X-ray search, and other sourcing tools.
• Create personalized outreach campaigns for passive candidates and improve messaging based on response data.
• Conduct in-depth phone screens covering qualifications, motivation, and fit.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to define requirements, search strategies, and candidate-quality standards.
• Build talent maps, track pipeline data and sourcing metrics, and provide competitive intelligence on talent pools.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience in an agency or in-house environment.
• Experience sourcing software engineering candidates and understanding engineering concepts, technology stacks, and terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for candidate outreach and stakeholder management.
• Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing tools, including Boolean/X-ray search and GitHub.
• Ability to manage multiple open roles independently and stay highly organized.
• Ability to work onsite in Mountain View, California for the full contract period.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing for AI/ML or data roles.
• Experience with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever.
• Experience building talent maps or market intelligence reports.
