Buyer (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end purchasing and ordering for assigned commodities and programs, including Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, and Returns.
• Maintain open purchase order accuracy and proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate delivery risks.
• Drive on-time, on-quality, and on-cost purchasing and material delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships, expedites, schedule changes, pull-ins, push-outs, and engineering changes with Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance.
• Resolve goods receipt and invoice discrepancies to support timely supplier payment.
• Contribute to supply chain goals, procedures, KPIs, ERP/MRP implementation, and international trade compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Operations.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware purchasing or supply chain in an ERP-driven environment.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, strong communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to ensure purchasing activities and records comply with nuclear industry requirements, including 10 CFR 830.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence is required for work authorization.
