Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

is a pre-revenue climate technology startup developing modular subsea geothermal power plants and conducting deep-ocean deployments.
What you will do
- Own procurement across mechanical, electrical, and custom-fabricated components.
- Build and manage relationships with machine shops, fabrication vendors, PCBA contract manufacturers, and component suppliers.
- Drive RFQs, pricing negotiations, supplier qualification, capacity expansion, and lead-time reduction.
- Track BOM status, identify long-lead and high-risk items, and develop mitigation plans to keep builds and deployments on schedule.
- Coordinate with engineering and integration teams on build readiness, make-or-buy decisions, and vendor selection.
- Manage purchase orders, expedite critical components, improve procurement processes, and support inventory planning for critical parts and spares.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning for hardware programs.
- Experience managing suppliers for machined parts, fabrication, and/or PCBA.
- Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and electronics assembly processes.
- Experience owning BOMs and tracking part readiness for builds.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities under tight timelines, negotiate pricing and lead times, and resolve supply issues.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, independent execution, and communication with engineers and vendors.
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace, energy, robotics, or hardware startups.
- Familiarity with low-volume, high-complexity builds and prototype environments.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical requirements.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems or lightweight planning tools.
- Experience scaling supplier networks and managing long-lead, high-risk components.
