Salary: $100,000–$135,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop and validate propulsion system and component requirements.
  • Define system interfaces and support hardware, software, and system-to-system integration testing.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute verification activities across mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and certification disciplines.
  • Conduct design reviews, validation and verification activities, and inter- and intra-system integration.
  • Manage customer, regulatory, aircraft, and system-level requirements and demonstrate compliance through safety assessments.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, software, aerospace, or systems engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761, or equivalent processes.
  • Experience with Title 14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, 29, or 33.
  • Experience developing requirements-based tests for complex electronic systems.
  • Proficiency working within a structured development process.
  • 5+ years of aerospace systems or aircraft development experience involving complex electronics and software is preferred for the role.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in systems engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience certifying traditional engines.
  • Experience with motor control, inverter design, embedded control systems, MATLAB, Simulink, Polarion, or equivalent application lifecycle management tools.
