DCS/BMS Service Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Central Monitoring Systems (CMS) from servers through field devices across multiple sites.
• Perform system backups, firmware and software updates, ICT and cybersecurity compliance activities, and maintenance coordination with third-party providers.
• Develop plant optimization and energy-efficiency strategies using data analysis to improve system performance and reliability.
• Investigate controls-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis and problem management, and provide L1–L3 technical support under response SLAs.
• Diagnose Niagara application and communication protocol performance issues, including lag and high processor utilization.
• Lead and support DCS improvement projects while following system baselines, safe work practices, and change management procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience maintaining, programming, and integrating Tridium Niagara-based control systems.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, UPS, chilled-water plants, and data centre infrastructure.
• Experience with PLC code, industrial ladder logic, DDC visual logic, and DDC/PLC implementation.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, DNP3, ICT/networking, server administration, and SCADA or BMS platforms.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications, with hands-on experience in plant optimization and tuning.
• Strong communication, computer, networking, and Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with ASHRAE, BCA, and AS standards.

Nice to have

• Data centre experience.
• Experience with Distech Controls, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Moxa, or similar platforms.
