Robotics System Integration Engineer

hirify.global is developing personal home robots that use embodied AI, real-world data, and consumer hardware to automate repetitive household tasks.

What you will do

• Integrate and test robotic systems, including actuation and perception hardware.
• Triage and debug issues across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software layers.
• Bring up, test, and evaluate sensors, actuators, and other key components.
• Maintain motor and sensor drivers and related tools in Python and C++.
• Develop processes for robot assembly, bring-up, QA testing, and troubleshooting.
• Define component and subsystem requirements, test plans, and architecture improvements for safe, reliable, manufacturable robot products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Strong system-level understanding of robotics hardware, firmware, and software.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
• Experience developing test plans and procedures for electromechanical systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Redwood City, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, USB, MIPI, and GMSL protocols.
• Experience with quasi-direct-drive actuators.
• Experience calibrating computer vision systems.
