Field Robotics Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Austin, United States; on-site. Travel to domestic and international customer sites is required depending on project needs. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the technical execution of customer deployment projects from initial site assessment through handover.
• Own technical planning, coordination, and follow-up with Operations.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers and provide hands-on support to end users throughout deployments.
• Test integrated robotic systems for reliability, robustness, and performance in real-world conditions.
• Generate performance reports, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional teams.
• Improve deployment processes, tooling, and technical best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience, in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience deploying, integrating, and debugging robotic software systems.
• Experience with the ROS ecosystem.
• Solid Linux proficiency and fluency with Git or similar version control.
• Programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as required.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on mechanical or electronics experience, including hardware assembly or basic soldering.
• Experience with communication protocols such as CAN.
• Customer project or technical project management experience.
• Practical experience repairing vehicles, machinery, bicycles, or electronics.
• Experience operating or working with construction or agricultural machinery.
