What you will do

  • Design and build simulation software for autonomous earth-moving robotics.
  • Develop fast, realistic simulations of vehicle dynamics and behavior in dynamic, modifiable terrain.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, AI, and firmware engineers on next-generation simulation systems.
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop testing for firmware through hardware integration interfaces.
  • Build a reliable hosted simulation system supporting both rapid iteration and highly accurate autonomous-system testing.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in C++.
  • Experience using or integrating a high-level language such as Python or Node.
  • Experience with a major simulation platform such as Nvidia Omniverse, Unreal, or Unity.
  • Knowledge of physics engines such as Genesis, Algoryx, ProjectChrono, or MuJoCo.
  • Experience with integration and control protocols, including gRPC or TCP/UDP sockets.
  • Familiarity with sensor representation and simulation, real-world simulation applications, Git, and a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with real-time computation constraints and GPU-accelerated physics, including CUDA or OpenGL.
  • Familiarity with soil simulation or analysis and numerical methods such as FEM, SPH, or DEM.
  • Machine learning, robotics, AI planning, constraint satisfaction, or linear and mixed-integer programming experience.
  • Distributed systems or services design experience.
  • Experience with 3D model creation, animation, or rigging.
