Sr. Specialist, Finance Process Excellence (SAP)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with occasional travel required.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Document end-to-end finance processes across Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and Accounting-to-Reporting.
• Translate high-level processes into detailed subprocess flows, SOPs, process maps, and RACI models.
• Identify control gaps and inefficiencies, then drive process simplification, standardization, and scalability.
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and IT to facilitate workshops and align process ownership.
• Translate business workflows into ERP-ready requirements and support SAP design and implementation.
• Embed internal controls, maintain audit traceability, and identify automation opportunities involving AI, workflows, and integrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or transformation roles.
• Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report processes.
• Deep knowledge of fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid accounting.
• Experience with process documentation and improvement.
• Ability to work in the Charlotte office 4–5 days per week and travel occasionally; a valid driver’s license is required.

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Manufacturing or automotive experience.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
• Exposure to finance digitalization and automation tools.
