Project Manager (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Oak Ridge, TN; 5 days onsite. Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday. Travel: Less than 10%.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, budget, schedule, and execute small- to medium-scale projects with budgets of $20–100 million.
• Develop project baselines, execution plans, risk management plans, deliverables, and other governing documentation.
• Coordinate Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Licensing, Quality, Safety, Manufacturing, Testing, Operations, and Construction inputs.
• Manage subcontractors, partners, and matrixed internal teams through status reviews, design reviews, reports, and deliverables.
• Monitor risk, schedule, cost variance, earned value, technical performance, documentation, and deliverable status.
• Evaluate technical and programmatic approaches and determine deliverable acceptance against customer, quality, safety, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
• Typically 10+ years of experience as an engineer and/or engineering manager in the energy, nuclear, petrochemical, or high-technology hardware development industry.
• Experience working under nuclear regulatory codes or strict quality assurance programs such as NQA-1, N299, or ISO 9001.
• Experience with end-to-end complex system development, from concept through qualified hardware or system delivery.
• Experience in nuclear safety systems, nuclear construction, operations, or maintenance.
• Ability to work onsite in Oak Ridge, Tennessee five days per week.

• Field experience on manufacturing projects.
