Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure & Simulation (C++)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain simulation and validation infrastructure for aircraft avionics, sensors, power distribution, flight controls, and embedded software.
• Develop and operate Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop frameworks for autonomy and embedded software validation.
• Build emulation infrastructure for bare-metal drivers, avionics peripherals, and aircraft system behaviors, including fault injection and failure-mode testing.
• Create automated test pipelines integrating simulation and HIL into CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with autonomy, embedded, avionics, and systems engineers on test strategies aligned with real-world flight profiles and operational constraints.
• Improve simulation fidelity, determinism, performance, test coverage, and traceability while scaling workloads across shared compute resources.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production systems or developer infrastructure.
• Proficiency in C++ and at least one systems language such as Python, Rust, or C.
• Experience with simulation, testing, or validation frameworks for complex software or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, modern build systems, and distributed or cloud compute environments.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or similar infrastructure tooling.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and may need authorization to access U.S.-controlled export technology without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with SITL or HITL environments for robotics, autonomy, or embedded platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems, embedded software, or low-level drivers.
• Background in safety-critical or high-reliability systems.
