Staff DFT Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Own the DFT lifecycle from architecture definition and RTL design through backend implementation, production support, and post-silicon bring-up.
• Define DFT strategies and architectures using JTAG/iJTAG, MBIST, Scan, and ATPG methodologies.
• Generate and optimize production test and debug patterns while improving coverage and quality metrics.
• Perform Static Timing Analysis for DFT modes and gate-level simulations.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, and Backend teams to ensure integration quality and optimal QoR.
• Develop and automate DFT implementation flows using scripting and industry-standard EDA tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of hands-on DFT experience in semiconductor companies.
• Deep expertise in JTAG/iJTAG, MBIST, Scan, and ATPG DFT flows and architectures.
• Experience with Synopsys TestMAX or Mentor Tessent.
• Strong understanding of logic design, verification, debug, and Static Timing Analysis.
• Scripting proficiency in Tcl, Perl, Python, or Shell.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, or UALink test requirements.
• Experience with chip bring-up and mass production.
• Background in advanced process technologies at 7nm and below.
• Experience working effectively in global engineering teams.
