People Partner

Location: Los Altos, California, United States; hybrid workplace. Authorization to work in the USA required.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year for California-based roles.

What you will do

• Advise leaders on business priorities and develop people strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Guide organizational design, team structures, spans and layers, and headcount planning.
• Coach managers and leaders on team dynamics, communication, development, and retention.
• Lead or support performance management, engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
• Identify workforce risks and gaps, assess external trends, and develop proactive talent solutions.
• Support change management and collaborate with People Operations, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as human resources, psychology, business, or industrial and labor relations preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering responsibilities and ideally experience in both big tech and startup environments.
• Experience resolving complex interpersonal and team misalignments with empathy and assertiveness.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, organization, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to build credibility with senior executives and influence cross-functional collaborators.
• Authorization to work in the USA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with organizational effectiveness tools such as engagement surveys and span/layer analysis.
• Knowledge of California and/or Massachusetts employment law.
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
