Robotics Software Engineer (Robotics)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $140,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement core software for real-time control, manipulation, sensing pipelines, and high-reliability task execution.
• Build tools and workflows for sensor-data processing, visualization, validation, and debugging in development and production.
• Create automated evaluation systems and remote-operations capabilities.
• Integrate frontier AI models into production robot behaviors with predictable and safe performance.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering on software-hardware integration for new robot platforms and upgrades.
• Test, profile, and optimize systems for robustness, low latency, and operational uptime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
• At least 1 year of software engineering experience building production systems.
• Experience integrating robotics, IoT, or embedded-device SDKs.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain complex, high-reliability software systems.
• Hands-on development experience in Rust.
• Knowledge of testing, documentation, code reviews, robust architecture, communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.
