Head of People Operations & Transformation (AI)

Location: Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; based in or willing to relocate to the Stuttgart area, with regular presence required at the Ludwigsburg HQ

What you will do

• Lead and develop the People Operations and Payroll team.
• Own the People Operations operating model, service standards, and scalable processes.
• Redesign employee lifecycle processes using AI, automation, integrations, and smart systems.
• Own the Personio HRIS stack, including configuration, integrations, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate payroll governance, vendors, and Employer of Record relationships across multiple entities and countries.
• Maintain employee experience, policies, GDPR compliance, labour law alignment, and strategic People projects.

Requirements

• Senior People experience spanning both Business Partnering and People Operations, with a focus on Operations.
• Experience across start-up, scale-up, and enterprise environments.
• Proven experience using AI and automation to redesign People processes.
• Experience leading, developing, and growing a team.
• Personio or comparable HRIS super-user experience, plus multi-country experience with employee relations, GDPR, and European payroll coordination.
• Fluent German and English, spoken and written; based in or willing to relocate to the Stuttgart area and able to attend the Ludwigsburg HQ regularly.
