What you will do
- Own the product vision and roadmap for customs, border, and revenue authorities across pre-clearance, entry processing, and enforcement.
- Develop the Passport Manager for product-passport review, sovereign business rules, and data-driven pre-clearance.
- Lead the Entry Processing System, including AI-driven entry review, high-volume REST APIs, EDI pipelines, and integrations with customs systems.
- Shape the Trade Enforcement Suite for counternarcotics, forced labor, trade-based money laundering, undervaluation, transshipment, and HS misclassification.
- Design investigator workflows for reviewing shipments, gathering evidence, collaborating across agencies, and building enforcement cases.
- Lead product strategy while partnering with engineering, design, data science, government affairs, and private-sector product teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in customs enforcement, border security technology, trade compliance, or trade facilitation.
- 7+ years of product management experience, preferably with complex enterprise or government systems.
- Direct experience with customs agency operations, trusted-trader or pre-clearance programs, or trade-facilitation modernization.
- Knowledge of targeting systems, risk scoring, enforcement workflows, manifests, entry summaries, advance ship notices, HS/HTS classification, and country-of-origin determinations.
- Experience designing API integrations, data pipelines, or enterprise system implementations.
- Security-clearance eligibility or an existing U.S. clearance / CBP background investigation is a strong plus; international engagements require meeting applicable local security requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with revenue protection or enforcement missions such as counternarcotics, forced labor, TBML, and trade diversion.
- Experience delivering products across multiple countries or agencies, including emerging-market contexts.
- Eligibility for a U.S. security clearance or prior successful Customs and Border Protection / DHS background investigation.
