Data Integration Specialist (AI)

Location: New York City metropolitan area; in-person, five days a week in the office. Candidates must be located in the area or be open to relocation.

Salary: $250K–$450K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and integrating large multimodal datasets.
• Own data ingestion across APIs, flat files, cloud storage, and data warehouses.
• Design workflows for linkage, entity resolution, deduplication, and schema harmonization.
• Collaborate with engineering, research, and deployment teams to make integrated data usable for simulation ingestion.
• Establish data quality checks, validation logic, and documentation across datasets and pipelines.
• Evaluate new data sources and determine how they can be joined with existing data assets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering, ETL/ELT, or a similar large-scale data role.
• Hands-on experience with messy, high-volume datasets exceeding 100 TB.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with modern data infrastructure such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar tools.
• Strong judgment around data quality, inconsistencies, edge cases, and integration risks.
• Ability to work in the New York City office five days a week, or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience with alternative data such as transaction, clickstream, or geospatial data.
• Experience building matching or entity-resolution systems across fragmented or noisy identifiers.
• Knowledge of privacy, compliance, and data licensing for sensitive or third-party data.
• Experience turning disjoint data sources into accessible structured databases with research or product teams.
• Background in statistics, sampling bias, bot detection, imputation, and data quality metrics.
