Location: Hybrid office role in Redwood City, California, United States

Salary: $192,157–$297,843 base salary per year, plus potential equity and bonus

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives from ideation and data exploration through model deployment and optimization.
• Develop AI solutions for feed personalization, product recommendations, computer vision, GenAI, marketing optimization, trust and safety, and product experience.
• Design scalable machine learning solutions for product, marketing, operations, and community functions.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and data scientists to deploy high-impact models.
• Explore emerging AI technologies and establish best practices for production machine learning systems.
• Mentor junior scientists and engineers and support continuous learning across the team.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience building scalable data science solutions in a big data environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNNs, Transformers, and Vision Transformers.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark using Scala or PySpark.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and a solid foundation in linear algebra, statistics, probability, calculus, and A/B testing.
• Experience with personalization algorithms, recommendation systems, or user behavior modeling.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to executives and engineers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning.
