Alliance Manager (siRNA)

Location: Palo Alto, CA; candidates are expected to primarily work at office locations. Regular collaboration across time zones may require one or two meetings per week starting at 7am PT or ending at 7pm CET.

Salary: $135K–$240K plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Manage existing siRNA and oligonucleotide partnerships, including daily operations, escalations, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Establish and lead Joint Steering Committees, Joint Research Committees, and other partnership governance bodies.
• Coordinate Biology, Chemistry, AI/ML, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance teams to meet partner obligations and advance shared programs.
• Drive partnered programs toward scientific and operational milestones while identifying expansion opportunities.
• Prepare decision-support documents and presentations for senior management.
• Develop partnership narratives by translating AI platform outputs and siRNA design insights for scientific and business audiences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related life sciences field.
• 5+ years of experience in alliance management, business development, or strategic partnerships in biopharma or biotech.
• Working knowledge of oligonucleotide therapeutics, especially siRNA biology, mechanisms of action, and drug development challenges.
• Experience managing complex, multi-party research or licensing collaborations from initiation through delivery.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and project management skills, including experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience with term sheets, CDAs, MTAs, or master research collaboration agreements; familiarity with AI/ML applications in drug discovery.

• MBA.
• Existing network across pharma, biotech, CRO, and academic organizations in the oligonucleotide therapeutics ecosystem.
• Experience with Linear, Notion, or equivalent project management platforms.
